There was another accident at Dennis and Albert St on July 4th that wasn't posted on Sootoday. My 7 year old granddaughter was buckled up in her booster seat in the rear passenger side where the other car hit them. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured although it was a very scary experience. The outcome could've been much worse for all concerned. I don't know what the answer is with the whole light situation but we all should be driving defensively and obey ALL lights and signs! The city should be making sure that driver's have unobstructed views in all areas as well. Bottom line is that we all just want to get home safe and sound!

It's such an amazing gift to have people in our city willing to give of their time to help others in need! The Elks used to have an oncology van program that drove patients to Sudbury as well. My father was an Elk member for over 50 years and his favourite program was that of being one of the oncology van drivers. He enjoyed helping the patients in any way possible and found it very rewarding. People who volunteer with organizations such as this, in any capacity, are truly angels on earth!

Maxine, Mark, Myles and families ... my deepest condolences on the profound loss of your beloved mother. 😔 Cecile was one of my favourite ladies to work with at the Y in my high school days! She was always available to listen and give great advice to all of her "Y kids". She made days of working in the "tote room" fun for the staff and also for the Y members! Cecile was such a special lady with a heart of gold. 💛 Her memory will live on in your hearts forever! 💕 My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time ... Leslie Smith
