Some of us Northern Canadians just need to see palm trees and sand and ocean sometime during the winter to get us through winter.

Is it better to have a weak voice with the winning party than a strong voice with the losing party? Im in my 60s and always wondered. For the Sault, it always seems to be to elect with party in power or give up entire hope of being listened to

So if not Doug Ford who?
Bonnie Crombie? not sure as for lack of most everything
NDP cant see that as a possibility again
I wonder if Doug Ford is the devil we know? the lesser of three evils?
It is a sad statement on provincial politics but seems fitting

The bike lanes HAVE to be reviewed. I live on upper Pine St where we have a fairly wide street, and we were able to have visitors/company park on the street during most of the year. Now with bike lanes, of which I have seen very, very few cyclists use, we can not have anybody park on the street all year long. Living with that, I told visitors to park on the boulevard, which is no longer maintained by the City,,,,so it is now just weeds and sand/salt. No sooner did I do this, but our visitors soon got a parking tickets (who knew), so I now have visitors park on our FRONT LAWN. Not ideal but apparently it is all I can do. PLEASE REVIEW THE BIKE LANES.

Forgive my naievete, but why are we paying $4.75 M for this? Is that the going rate? or is that what Mr Ferrari wants? And another $4M + to "clean up" the property and hopefully sell it to another reputable? developer? For condos and hopefully recoup purchase and clean up monies etc for sale of property and future tax revenue that will take years? You may need a crystal ball for this one...Sounds like a throw of the dice with our tax dollars. Another shady developer that has left us with no other choice than to pay for ou council mistakes but this this one seems like a big one. A really big one.

Is there a value to them if only taken to scrap yard and sold? If so are they brought to local scrap yards or out of town? Or is it a twisted collector or someone else doing it for extrinsic gains? Is there someone that takes a regular inventory of these? Or should an inventory be done ASAP?

Why would "non permanent residents" count? Students who are only here for 2-4 years? I dont believe they should be included in population count. So what is the count of permanent residents?

One error in judgement after another. No transparency. No explanations. Council does not seem to be listening to their constituents whatsoever, but we are the ones payng for their mistakes and instead of being diligent, they just keep on doing what they want. Hopefully they will at least have the decency to fill us all in on what influenced their decision in this latest apparent debacle.

Its a shame what has happened to downtown. My wife enjoys shopping for clothing and the city used to offer a lot as I am aware and I have been told, lol. My wife stated and this is supported by many, that SSM was the women's clothing center of the North. That women actually traveled here from Sudbury (no Costco) to shop mostly Queen St and the Station Mall offerings of womens clothing. And now the majority are closed or closing. Queen St is still looking fair along with Norths Bay Main St and both are ahead of Sudburys downtown, but our other issue is too many malls. Sudbury and North Bay literally have one each and we have three. Way to go Market Mall. Have hope Station Mall and poor Cambrian Mall.
