On Tuesday evening, Sault College staff, community members, students, and supporters joined together to celebrate and honour the outstanding academic achievements of our students at the 52nd annual Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards (SBA) night. Throughout the evening, more than $430,000 in financial support was distributed to students celebrating both academic excellence and recognizing the amazing support of our donors.
The SBA event was a momentous occasion, where students, families, and supporters were able to come together and share in the success of our student body. The event not only honoured the accomplishments of the students but also underscored the importance of the support system that surrounds them. The financial contributions provided at this event are more than just monetary; they represent encouragement, motivation, and belief in the potential of each student.
"Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to create opportunities for students to succeed, whether they are entering the workforce or continuing their education," said David Orazietti, President, Sault College. "Each scholarship and bursary is a testament to the commitment our community has to the future of our students. Without the support of our donors, our SBA program wouldn’t be possible, and we are honoured to have them be champions of our students encouraging them to continue striving for excellence. On behalf of Sault College, congratulations to each of these students for all they have achieved through their commitment and determination. We are proud to support them as they take the next steps in their academic and professional journeys."
With over $2.5 million in financial support being distributed this academic year, the SBA program continues to play a vital role in ensuring that students at Sault College have the resources they need to excel. The support provided by donors, along with the perseverance of the students, makes this event a shining example of what can be accomplished when a community comes together to invest in the future.
