The March Madness Shoot to Win event is back for its 3rd year at Northside Toyota, giving customers a chance to win big while supporting local students.
This year, the dealership is donating $1,500 each to the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDB) and the Algoma District School Board (ADSB) to help enhance elementary school sports programs.
The dealership has once again transformed its showroom into a mini basketball court, complete with a net and hoop. At the end of the month, all customers who purchase a new or used vehicle in March will be invited back to shoot for their chance to win the grand prize of $3,000 cash.
Giving Back to Local Schools
While the event offers an exciting chance to win, it’s also about supporting youth in our community.
“We’re thrilled to partner with HSCDB and ADSB this year,” said Mario Palumbo, Dealer Principal at Northside Toyota.
Both school boards expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing the positive impact on students.
“On behalf of the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, we sincerely thank Northside Toyota for selecting our board as a recipient of this year’s March Madness donation. Your generosity will directly support elementary school sports programs, helping our students stay active, engaged, and inspired. We truly appreciate your support,” Fil Lettieri, Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board director of education.
Algoma District School Board Director of Education Lucia Reece: “The Algoma District School Board thanks Northside Toyota for their generous donation of $1500 to be put towards our elementary sports programs. Their support of student well-being and active school engagement is truly valued. With the support of community partners like these, together we are building confident learners and caring citizens.”
“Sports play such an important role in the development of young students, teaching them teamwork, leadership, and confidence,” added Palumbo. “We’re proud to give back through our March Madness event and help more kids access quality athletic programs.”
At Northside Toyota, you’re not just shooting for $3,000—you’re helping local schools and young athletes thrive.
