Algoma and Huron-Superior Student Transportation Services have announced this morning that due to poor road conditions, all school-related transportation is cancelled today for all Boards in the Sault Ste. Marie, Central Algoma, and Chapleau areas.
Cancellations are as follows:
- Sault Ste Marie Area - including Batchawana, Goulais River, Searchmont and area
- Central Algoma Area - including Echo Bay, Bruce Mines, Desbarats, St. Joe Island, Thessalon and area
- Northern Area - Chapleau only
Additionally, Garden River area school buses, operated by Boissoneau Bus Lines Inc. will not run today.
Schools will remain open; however, no transportation will be provided.
Parents/Guardians who transport their children to school are reminded that they must pick their children up at the end of the school day.
Transportation will be running as per normal schedule in the following areas:
North Shore Area - including Iron Bridge, Blind River, Elliot Lake, Spanish & area.
Northern Area - Wawa, White River, Dubreuilville, Hornepayne & area.
