The city clerk’s office is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Holiday Lighting Awards Program.
Co-sponsored by PUC Services Inc., this program promotes and encourages community involvement and recognizes the efforts of residents who light up their homes and businesses in the spirit of the season.
There are two award categories: Residential and Business. Two winners per ward will be selected in the residential category, and three winners will be selected citywide in the business category.
Judging of the nominated properties will take place the week before Christmas. Nominations must include the civic address and the resident’s name. Any resident can submit a nomination, including self-nominations. Residences that have won in the last three years (2021, 2022, and 2023) are not eligible. The deadline for entries is Thursday, Dec. 12, at 4:30 p.m.
Nomination forms are available online at saultstemarie.ca/awards. Completed forms can be emailed to [email protected] or addressed to the City Clerk – Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre.
