Gone are the faces we loved so dear,
Silent are the voices we loved to hear
Too far away for sight or speech
But not too far for our thoughts to reach
Sweet to remember them once was here
And who though absent is just as near
The death of any loved parents is an incalculable lasting blow, because no one ever loves again like that.
