Join us for a fun, art-filled summer camp at the Art Gallery of Algoma. For the first week of art camp (July 8-12, from 1:30 pm to 4 pm each day, for children/youth ages 10 to 14), students will paint in the style of the Group of Seven outside as the Group did. They will explore perspective and document the scenery around them. The travelling exhibition, Cobalt: A Mining Town and the Canadian Imagination, originally from the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Ontario will be displayed at the Art Gallery of Algoma during the summer months. This exhibition includes several artworks by Group of Seven members. Students will learn about this exhibition and be inspired to create their own artworks!
Cost is $150 for members (with a Family Membership) and $200 for non-members. Indoor and outdoor art fun for young artists!
