Same poutine, new routine: Big feast moves to downtown plaza

Convoy of touring food trucks has become a popular summer tradition in the Sault

No Canada Day weekend is complete without some Canadian cuisine.

The country's largest touring poutine festival is making another long weekend stop in Sault Ste. Marie, starting Friday at 11 a.m.

But unlike last year — when the food trucks set up shop at the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site — this weekend's "Poutine Feast" will take over the new downtown plaza.

"The City’s most mouthwatering culinary event, Poutine Feast, makes its return to its new location," reads a press release from City Hall and the Downtown Association. "Visitors can enjoy live music performances by talented local artists, visit the Soo MRKT, and outdoor vendors, and participate in fun activities for the whole family. Cold beverages, scoop ice cream, and slushies will be available for purchase. Bring your appetite!"
