If we didn't like Michelle Yeoh so much, Gong Li just might be the actress of choice among the male staffers here in SooToday.com's Department of People Who Know How to Use Apostrophes.

Trouble was, unless you were following Chinese cinema, you'd probably never heard of Gong Li until she appeared in last year's Memoirs of a Geisha, inspiring Time Magazine's Richard Corliss to describe her as "gloriously channeling Bette Davis."

Well, China's biggest female star has finally arrived in Hollywood and she's making waves in the film adaptation of Miami Vice as Isabella, the Chinese-Cuban lover of a crime lord.

But who cares what we think?
