Product innovation has taken centre stage in Canada as the largest consumer-voted award for product innovation, Product of the Year Canada, has revealed the winners of its 2023 awards.
Chosen through a national survey of 4,000 Canadian shoppers conducted by global leader in consumer research, Kantar, the awards recognize the most innovative and exceptional products across 25 categories, including sustainability, personal care, and food and beverage.
"Product of the Year is more valuable now than ever," said Mike Nolan, Global CEO of Product of the Year Management in a recent release. "The level of access consumers have to products today is unprecedented."
Product winners bear distinctive Product of the Year red seal, which can be recognized as a vote of confidence from consumers.
Winners include Columbus Charcuterie Tasting Board from Hormel Canada in the Appetizers category, Vida by PADERNO 12" Outdoor Gas Pizza Oven from Canadian Tire in the Appliances category, and Garnier Vitamin C Brightening Serum from L'Oréal Canada in the Beauty category.
Other winners include All-Day Breakfast Mini Quick Cook Hash Brown Patties from Cavendish Farms in the Breakfast Foods category, and Mouche Bamboo Facial Tissues from Mouche Inc. in the Household Paper Product category.
According to Product of the Year, the winners demonstrate the ever-evolving trends in the Canadian market and showcase quality and innovation in function, design, packaging, or ingredients.
