OPP charge female driving with no insurance

(BLIND RIVER, ON)- On Feb. 27, 2019, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol in the Town of Blind River.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., police observed a north bound minivan on West Street and ran the plate. The query on the vehicle came back as uninsured and a vehicle stop was initiated. 

As a result of the investigation, Tabetha Christian, 33 years of age from Blind River, Ontario was charged with: Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway-No Insurance, contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on April 17, 2019.
