Oscar Vandette passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on December 22, 2001 at the age of 78. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia (Monette). Loving father of Jeanette Heino (Peter), Art (Karen) Vandette, Jean Vandette, Peter (Liz) Vandette, Jackie (Sterling) Gardner, Maurice Vandette (friend Lana), Diana Vandette-Sleeman. Beloved grandfather of Danny, Kim Parlow, Greg (Rose), Jeff, Michelle Litalien (Norm), Laura Vandette, James and Scott Gardner, Nicholis and Joshua Sleeman. Oscar was a caring great grandfather of six. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Mary, sisters Rose, Margaret, Mary, Rita and one brother, Del (Linda). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 28 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a service to following the chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. McParland officiating.
