Clifford Isacc Matheson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at the age of 100. Former chief of the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Department, Clifford was a Mason, Shriner, and Jester, as well as life member of Keystone Lodge #412. He was born in Burpee Township on Manitoulin Island in the year 1901. Son of the late Allan and Mary Ann (Bailey) Matheson. Beloved husband of the late Cassie (Scott) Matheson. Dearly loved father of Chadyne Arnott (Lester) and Stanley Matheson (deceased). Proud grandfather of Leslie(Gwen) Arnott and Scott (Kelly) Arnott and great grandfather of John Matheson Arnott and Brandon John Soyatt. Loving uncle of Gloria Matheson, Irma McCracken, Elaine Kendrick and other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Gilbert (Lyda), Victor, William and sisters Marjorie and Charlotte. Visitation was held at the Culgin Funeral Home in Gore Bay on Friday, Dec 7 at 10:00am with memorial service at 11:00am. Memorial donations to the Ontario Finnish Rest Home Association Mauno Kaih
