Brian Michael Cerutti of Hanover passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was 73.

Born on April 11, 1950 in Sault Ste. Marie to the late Attilio and Adeline (nee Fera) Cerutti. Brian will be fondly remembered by his past students and colleagues during his time as a teacher at Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton. He had a passion for teaching and enjoyed a very lengthy career. Once retired, he enjoyed spending time with his family and animals. He would be the one to say no more but then his heart opened at the thought of an animal being left behind and so he opened his heart and doors.

Survived by son Michael Cerutti of Hanover and daughter Anne Marie Cerutti (Pat Whitehead) of Ottawa. Brian was estatic to find out he would be upgraded to the title of Grandpa with his first baby girl on her way. Loved brother of Lou (Fern) Cerutti and their children James and Kelly (Greg) of Sault Ste. Marie as well as his sister in law Diane (Lane) Bishop and their children Jeff, Pam, Laura and their families. Predeceased by his parents and beloved wife Virginia.

To honour his wishes a private family graveside service was held with interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.

A heartfelt thank you to the EMS, Hanover Police and the Hanover Fire Department. To Jeff Dentinger, Doug Graham, Andrew Lomis, Mitchell Crispin, Don Crispin and Andrew Smart for the kindness and dignity shown to Dad.

Memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
