BOISSONEAU, Shawn Aaron "Sho-sho-nee" - (March 15, 1962 – December 6, 2024)

The family of Shawn announces with great sadness his passing and the beginning of his Spirit Journey. Shawn is returning to the Spirit World to join his late father, Ron Boissoneau and his favourite pet Snow Beast. Shawn departed this world surrounded by many of his loving family and friends at the Sault Area Hospital.

Shawn leaves behind his mother Gloria whom he loved tremendously, and his brother Ken. He will be remembered by his Auntie Jackie Rickard, Uncle Bud and Auntie Doreen, late Auntie Dorothy Boissoneau (late Eli), late Uncle Buster, late Uncle Joe and Uncle Tom Boissoneau, Auntie Addie Barry and Auntie Rose (late Garney). He is now reunited with his grandparents, Mary and Percy Lesage, and Charlotte Boissoneau (Nee Pine). Shawn was a special uncle to Andy Rickard (Chessa), Ron Rickard (Samantha), and a great-uncle to Ashlyn, Andy-Lou and Oaklyn, Thomas, Zeegwen, Aanwan and Waasayaaban, Christopher, Kyle, Dakota, Arizona and Zaylen, Greg, Katie, Allan, Barry and Clifford, and Courage. He was also a special godfather to Lucy Boissoneau and a special Uncle to Oakie. He will be missed by many other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his immediate family, Shawn leaves behind his Uncle Darrell and Martina, Marlene, Dwayne, and Greg. He will be fondly remembered by Cheryl who was like a sister to him who cared for him during his final days. He also leaves behind his good friends Scott Lesage, Farmer Solomon, Greg Boissoneau, Tim Pine, Terry Boissoneau and Darcy Lesage.

Shawn walked upon our Sacred Mother Earth with gentleness and kindness. He was a member of the Garden River Valley Fastball League, dedicated Catcher (Resembled Pat Borders) of the Travelade Motors and enjoyed playing hockey with many of his friends. He was a dedicated fan of the Denver Broncos, Boston Red Sox, and the New York Islanders. He made rinks, shovelled snow constantly for his Mom and put up Christmas Lights on the house, season after season. We will miss his creativeness and distinctive chuckle. Shawn will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Garden River Community Centre on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 6:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 11:00 am with Ron Rickard, Keith Boissoneau, and Darrell Boissoneau speaking. Shawn will be laid to rest at the Garden River Catholic Cemetery. Feast will follow at the Garden River Community Centre.
