A delegation from Shaoxing University and Yuanpei College meets with Lake Superior State University officials on September 24 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to discuss expanding student and faculty exchanges.
LSSU entered into a cooperative agreement with Shaoxing University last spring, and signed a similar partnership with Yuanpei College last fall.
Yuanpei offers 37 bachelor's degrees in such areas as economics and management, engineering and technology, foreign languages, garment and art design, information technology, electronics, life sciences, liberal arts, and social sciences.
Shaoxing University health science students spent July and August at LSSU using facilities such as the Nursing Simulation Center, while LSSU professors Russ Searight of psychology and Ralf Wilhelms of international business spent most of their summer at Shaoxing.
Several Shaoxing faculty have visited Lake State in the past year.
