Thunderbirds season ends

The Soo Thunderbirds season came to an end on Monday night.

The Thunderbirds surrendered three unanswered goals in a 4-1 loss to the Rayside-Balfour Canadians Monday at the John Rhodes Community Centre.

The win means the Canadians advance to the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League final against the Cochrane Crunch.

Jacob Partridge had a goal and two assists for the Canadians. Evan Krassey added a pair of goals. 

Taylor Woolcott also scored for Rayside.

Goaltender Brayden Lachance stopped 36 shots.

Brandon Gordon made 28 saves for the Thunderbirds.

Lucas Theriault had the lone goal for the Thunderbirds.
