Legion Night Music – Sault Ontario's Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 Drum & Trumpet Band will provide musical selections between periods during Saturday’s LSSU hockey game, with American Legion Post 3 serving as the Color Guard.
The award-winning band started in 1934 and includes 45 members from across the Algoma region.
It recently finished second in a competition with the U.S. Marine Corps Marching Band.
Fans are asked to bring a teddy bear or stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the first Laker goal.
They will be collected and donated to the Chippewa County Department of Human Services Children's Services Program. The Lakers and U.S. National Team Development Program U-18s face off at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday evening at Taffy Abel Arena.
