Scheduled for April 4 and 5, 2025, Docs on Ice will welcome 600 to 800 doctors from across Ontario to Sault Ste. Marie

Big league hockey teams often have a team doctor.

But a charity hockey tournament coming to the Sault next year will feature teams made up entirely of doctors!

Hundreds of doctors from across Ontario are expected to play in the Docs on Ice tournament in April.

The event, which first took to the ice in 1983 and has raised more than $1 million for charity over the years, says it will donate proceeds to United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District.

The doctors were set to play in the Sault in 2020 but had their event sidelined by the COVID pandemic.
