The Soo Greyhounds announced today that forward Carson Andrew has signed with the Ontario Hockey League club.

Andrew was the Greyhounds' fourth-round pick in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection after spending time over the past two seasons playing with Shattuck St. Mary's.

“He’s a good sized player, can skate really well,” Greyhounds general manager Kyle Raftis said of Andrew, at the time of the selection. “He’s got a wicked release and someone that has put up some great numbers. The power play is run right through him.”

“His talent for creating and executing shots in tight spaces, coupled with his constant ability to be on the puck, makes him a valuable addition," Raftis said in a release announcing today's signing.

A native of St. Louis, MO, Andrew scored 28 goals and 66 points in 56 games with Shattuck's 15U AAA team in 2023-24.

Andrew said signing with the Hounds is "a dream come true."

"Growing up I was able to attend a few OHL games, and they were awesome," he said. "Ever since then, it was my goal to one day play in the league."
