Mayor Matthew Shoemaker is looking for young artists to help him with his Christmas cards.

The annual Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition invites elementary school-aged children in Sault Ste. Marie to submit holiday-themed drawings.

Three designs will be picked to be featured on the cards sent out by the mayor.

“Our Christmas cards are sent to the prime minister, the premier, and community leaders, and I’m looking forward to showcase the artistic talents of our local students on this year’s cards,” said Mayor Shoemaker in a news release.

Entry forms can be found at https://saultstemarie.ca/christmascard.

Email submissions to [email protected] or drop them off at the Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre reception.

Entries must include the participant's name, age, school, and contact information.

The deadline is Nov. 29 and winners will be announced on Dec. 4.
