The first Colorado-Low of the season moves into the Great Lakes later this week, bringing a mess of weather for the days ahead. First, we will start the workweek with temperatures five to ten degrees warmer than normal. That heat peaks on Wednesday, when we will see potential record-breaking temperatures.

Wet weather arrives late Wednesday, and the core of the storm system arrives just in time for Halloween—damp weather is likely for trick-or-treaters on Thursday evening. With the wet weather, temperatures could fall below freezing on Friday, bringing the risk of a flurry.

Skies will be partially clear Monday afternoon, and a southerly breeze will push daytime highs to 14°C. Clouds and light rain arrive Tuesday morning, and then we should see some brief afternoon sun as temperatures climb to 19°C.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with daytime highs climbing to 21°C. Heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms will move in after sunset and continue overnight. Temperatures on Thursday will fall to near 12°C and be overcast with rain all day. The rain could continue into the evening, making for a wet Halloween.

Friday starts with the risk of a wet flurry, but skies clear in the afternoon as temperatures reach 7°C. Sunnier and slightly warmer air is expected for this coming weekend.
