High pressure moves into Northern Ontario, bringing plenty of sunshine and building heat. By mid-week, temperatures will be several degrees above mid-August normals, and humidex values will be in the low 30s.

A large, unsettled weather system is scheduled to arrive on Friday and could linger into the weekend, bringing widespread rain and storms.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with daytime highs climbing back to 26°C.

Patchy fog early Tuesday gives way to mainly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures of 27°C.

The sunny skies continue into Wednesday and Thursday with daytime highs of 29°C. Additional humidity will make it feel more like 31.

Rain and storms move in for Friday and early Saturday, with afternoon temperatures falling to 25°C.
