Weather advisory issued for:

  •    Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay
  •    Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect.

What:
Snowfall amounts near 10 cm.
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.

When:
Beginning late this morning and continuing into tonight.

Additional information:
Snow will move into the region later this morning, becoming heavy at times this afternoon into this evening. Snow may change to lake effect snow near midnight for areas near Sault Ste. Marie, however confidence is low at this time. If lake effect snow develops, higher snowfall amounts are likely.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
