The Sault College employment services team is gearing up for the Annual Career Fair, on February 5, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the college.
“This is an opportunity for jobseekers to personally meet representatives from over 100 local businesses and organizations who are actively recruiting for their workforce,” explained a representative.
Jobseekers can include members of the community, alumni of the college, and current students who are looking for positions in their chosen fields.
Some of the businesses and organizations already signed up for the career fair include:
- Science North,
- the OPP,
- Sault Ste. Marie Police Service,
- Soo Foundry and Machine,
- Ontario Parks,
- North Shore Health Network,
- Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry,
- Health Sciences North,
- Fowler Construction Co.,
- Community Living Algoma,
- City of Sault Ste. Marie,
- Chapleau Health Services,
- Chartright Air Inc.,
- as well as many more.
“There are full-time, part-time, seasonal, and coop student positions available in a myriad of industries and fields,” said the spokesperson. “It is a phenomenal opportunity for jobseekers to put their resumes into the hands of those hiring in the area.”
Last year’s career fair had 110 employers attending, and this year organizers are aiming for even more.
The Sault College Annual Career Fair is happening February 5, 2025 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Sault College Gym, Health and Wellness Centre (F-Wing).
Parking for the Career Fair is available in the J-South lot. You can access this parking lot from Willow Avenue or Northern Avenue. Please enter at our F-Wing building at the Health and Wellness Centre.
