Weekly flights to Cayo Coco, Cuba from Sault Ste. Marie are set to begin next month.
Sunwing Airlines made the announcement Thursday via a press release.
“The Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation (SSMADC) is very excited to see Sunwing flight service resume as it is a very promising sign of a return to normal following almost three years of the pandemic,” said Terry Bos, president and CEO at of the Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporarion in a prepared statement.. “Cuba has always been a destination that the residents of Sault Ste. Marie have enjoyed travelling to, and we’re looking forward to heading back with Sunwing.”
The weekly flights will take to the air on Tuesdays beginning on Dec. 13 and running until April 23, 2023.
