Health Sciences North has updated its processes following the discovery of a body in a vehicle in the hospital's parking lot. Somehow, the body of 62-year-old Rae Cameron went unnoticed for weeks. Cameron had been reported missing on or about March 7.

Camp McDougall has been forced to close for the remainder of the summer due to staffing shortages following the departure of five of 18 employees. This left the camp without a head cook and a lifeguard, two key positions. The camp says it has no intention of closing for good and is working on plans for next year.

An adult female bear was seen dragging a cub from Lake Street into a residential yard last week after being struck by a vehicle. MNRF staff responded to the scene, but the adult female bear was defensive and the decision was made to leave the cub.

The Soo Greyhounds have announced that head coach John Dean will be returning behind the bench. Dean's contract expired and the two sides are working on a new deal. The team also announced they are searching for a new assistant coach.
