Sault Transit's "Adventure Bus" is set to start rolling this weekend.

The first bus trip is on Sept. 9.

The bus will run on Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting, until Nov. 5 to Hiawatha Highlands.

The bus will stop at the Northern Community Centre at noon, the downtown bus terminal at 12:15 p.m., John Rhodes Community Centre at 12:30 p.m., and the northern transfer hub at Sault College at 12:45 p.m., on its way to Hiawatha at 1 p.m.

“Introducing the Adventure Bus during the fall months presents a great opportunity for students, seniors, and new families to immerse themselves in the beauty of our region," said Brent Lamming, Director of Community Services, in a news release. "We are delighted to expand our services in this way."

Bikes with a single seat and two wheels can be accommodated on city buses equipped with front mounted bike racks at no additional cost.
