Snow Squall Warning in effect for:
- Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island
- Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay
Multi-day lake effect snow squall event expected to continue today.
Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with accumulations of 15 to 25 cm possible by tonight. Significantly reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Timing: Continuing through today into tonight.
Discussion: Lake effect flurries and snow squalls will be heavy at times through today and may ease on Thursday before returning Friday.
Road closures are possible during this week especially over areas that receive multiple snow squall bands. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Road closures are possible. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
