The Sault Ste. Marie OPP detachment says it investigated 20 domestic-related incidents in the month of October, seven of which resulted in charges.
The stats were released as the community continues to mourn the loss of four people — including three children — killed in a mass murder-suicide on Oct. 23 that police say was a case of intimate partner violence. The shooter also died after turning the gun on himself.
Some of the recent charges laid by the Sault OPP include:

- Sex Assault
- Uttering Threats-Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Theft
