Rasoi - The Indian Kitchen announced today that the restaurant is closed for good. Following a few months of adjusted hours, Short-term closures, and offering take-out only, owner Neeta Marwah issued the following statement via social media:

Namaste. It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of my restaurant Rasoi - The Indian Kitchen. Cooking is my passion and having had this restaurant was a dream come true. I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to all my customers who supported me on this journey. For coming out and sharing your time with me and also making me a part of your experiences and enjoying my cooking and appreciating my efforts. I say bye for now, as we do not know what the future holds. Stay well out there!

Marwah first began selling Indian culinary creations from her home in 2009 prior to opening a storefront in the P-Patch. She then launched Rasoi, her first sit-down restaurant, in the former Mike’s Lunch location on Queen Street in 2017. The restaurant moved to the former Bali Restaurant location on Queen last spring.
