Women and older readers were more likely to watch:

There seems to be a strong relationship to political views, with Liberal and NDP voters more likely to pay attention to the Olympics, and Conservative and PPC voters least likely:

Not surprisingly, given the rooting-for-the-national-team side of the Olympics, interest correlates with patriotism:
It correlates with a positive experience of phys.ed class:

It doesn't correlate, however, with views on hockey violence:
Olympic fans are more likely to be non-smokers, and not have tattoos:
But are equally likely to regularly consume alcohol, or not:
Equally likely to favour or oppose extending drug legalization:
And somewhat more likely to use recreational cannabis:
And they are somewhat more likely be cat people than dog people:
