OutSpoken Brewing has been recognised with three awards at the prestigious Ontario Brewing Awards 2024

OutSpoken Brewing has been recognized at the Ontario Brewing Awards for three of its craft beers.

The Mile Hill Lager grabbed gold in the Standard American Beer category.

PreCambrian Porter came in second in the American Porter and Stout category, just ahead of Wellington Brewery’s Imperial Stout.

And the brewery’s Italian pilsner, Maglia Rosa, placed third for International Lagers, a category that saw Steam Whistle get the top spot.

Brewmaster Reg Peer says everyone at OutSpoken is extremely honoured by the recognition.

"Mile Hill Lager represents our philosophy of crafting beers that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our customers,” Peer said in a news release.

“This award is not just for us, but for the entire community that supports local craft beer. Representing the Soo against such established breweries was a great challenge"

Jeff Elgie, one of the owners of Outspoken, is the owner and publisher of Village Media, which operates SooToday and other hyperlocal news websites across Ontario as well as the recently launched SPACES.
