The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) will keep its secondary schools open during the one-day withdrawal of services by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) planned for Jan. 8.
H-SCDSB Education Director of Education Rose Burton Spohn tells SooToday there are roughly 30 employees, all noon-hour aides, who are OSSTF members.
"All of these employees are noon-hour aides who provide valuable support to our students and school communities," Burton Spohn told SooToday via email. Friday. "That acknowledged, our board intends to remain open and operating during the one-day withdrawal of services."
