Love him or hate him, Justin Trudeau was no stranger to Sault Ste. Marie.
The outgoing Prime Minister made multiple trips to the city during his tenure as Liberal leader — including a memorable visit last summer, when he was challenged by an Algoma Steel employee during a photo-op.
"I think you're only here for another year," the worker told Trudeau, refusing to shake his hand. "We won't see you around probably in another year."
He was right. Trudeau announced yesterday that he will resign as Liberal leader and Prime Minister as soon as his party picks a successor.
