Residents throughout the Sault Ste. Marie/Blind River District are under a Flood Outlook, the Ministry of Natural Resources warns in a news release issued today.
This outlook is in effect in the district until Monday, March 24, 2025 at 12 p.m.
Those in the district, especially in the Goulais River watershed area, are advised to keep a close watch on water conditions, and stay away from fast-moving rivers and streams.
Although no flooding is anticipated based on current forecasts, special caution should be exercised around all local waterways, and avoid travelling on remaining ice.
The Ministry is closely monitoring the weather and developing watershed conditions.
