Five people and a dog are safe after their boat capsized off Mackinac Island Friday afternoon.
In a Facebook post, U.S. Coast Guard Sector Northern Great Lakes says Coast Guard Station St Ignace, Mackinac Marine Rescue and a Shepler’s ferry all responded to the emergency.
“Thanks to the capsized boaters wearing life preservers and the fast action of first responders, all 5 people (and the dog!) were safely rescued.” the post said.
