Someone is waking up to that reality today — and the winning ticket was sold in Northern Ontario!

The winning ticket for the Aug. 20 Lotto Max draw was sold in the Timiskaming/Cochrane area, says the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Fourteen MaxMillions prizes were also won in yesterday's draw. Tickets for the $1 million prize were sold in Peterborough, Ottawa, Mississauga, Toronto and online at OLG.ca. A MaxMillions ticket worth $333,333 was sold in Toronto, a $1 million encore was sold in Unionville and encore tickets worth $100,000 were sold in Kingston and Ottawa.

The next LottoMax draw is on Aug. 23 and the jackpot is more than $40 million.
