Come explore Algoma University this March Break! Algoma U will be hosting its annual March Break Open House for high school and college students on Mar. 13 starting at 9:15 a.m. Participants will have a chance to win free first-year tuition.
Both local and out-of-town students are encouraged to attend the Open House to learn what Algoma U has to offer. For local students, the attraction of attending comes not only from the unique, personalized student experience, but also its close proximity to home.
Local students have the opportunity to play varsity sports, get involved in student government (the Algoma University Students’ Union and/or the Shingwauk Anishinaabe Students’ Association), and travel the world through exchange opportunities, all while living in their hometown.
“Our March Break Tour allows students from across the province and within the Sault Ste. Marie area to see firsthand what Algoma U offers,” said Director of Enrolment Management, Brent Krmpotich. “Our students receive an outstanding education, and have access to a variety of opportunities at the University including research positions, teaching assistantships, lucrative entrance scholarships, and one-on-one interactions with knowledgeable faculty.”
The event kicks off at 9:15 a.m. in The Speakeasy with a welcome address by the University’s President and Vice Chancellor, Asima Vezina. Students will also tour campus, meet with faculty, and mingle with current students.
