Trevor Berbick, former world heavyweight boxing champion and the last man to fight Muhammad Ali, has died in Jamaica after he was attacked with a machete or hachet.
The 51-year-old former Canadian fighter was pronounced dead after he suffered what's described as a "gaping" head wound.
The attack occurred in Berbick's hometown of Norwich, about 90 kilometres east of Kingston, Jamaica.
Berbick held World Boxing Council heavyweight title for a short time in 1986.
He lost it to Mike Tyson in his first title defense.
