ALGOMA CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
************************* On Saturday, January 20, Algoma Conservatory Concerts will present pianist Berenika at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available at the Station Mall Box office and at the door.
Berenika Zakrzewski is a native of Sault Ste. Marie, receiving an excellent piano foundation at the Algoma Conservatory of Music.
She then moved on to advanced study and receipt of top awards at Juilliard, Harvard and Oxford.
Berenika Zakrzewski (known professionally as simply Berenika) is a rising star who has shown once again that there is greatness in Sault Ste. Marie.
She returns from England for a spectacular concert performing solo works and the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2 with the Algoma Chamber Orchestra - just weeks after performing this amazing work at the Warsaw Philharmonic.
Now just 23 years of age she is on the cusp of an exciting career, having won the coveted Nakamichi Piano Competition in Aspen.
