Last evening at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre, Algoma Fall Festival fans and friends met an unlikely but hilarious company of characters, from violin-playing castle-keeper Frau Blücher and unreserved Aunt Voula, to repressed sexologist Dr. Cheryl Kinsey and immigrant English student Pirini Scleroso.

A leopard-clad, rapping and twerking Edith Prickley was also there.

And behind them all was the incomparable comedic talent of Andrea Martin.

Accompanied by Reza Jacobs on piano, Martin's one woman show Final Days, Everything Must Go! is a retrospective cabaret of characters from her numerous film, stage and SCTV appearances infused with moments of stand-up and tales of her famous friends.

There was also a bit of audience participation much to the dismay of some and delight of others.

The 41st annual Algoma Fall Festival continues through October with appearances from Gino Vannelli this evening at the Machine Shop at Mill Square, Amanda Lindhout (October 20), The Once (October 24), Natalie McMaster and Donnell Leahy (October 25), TAJ (October 26), and Jan Vayne and Martin Mans (October 27).
