SooToday.com spotted just one young fella in the front row at this past Saturday's concert at the Essar Centre.
Knowing full well that the evening's line up of Down With Webster and Marianas Trench would draw all the young ladies to the front, he was definitely the smartest dude in the room.
It's been almost four years since we last reported a Marianas Trench performance in Sault Ste. Marie.
"I promise we will never ever wait that long to come back to the Sault ever again," front man Josh Ramsay announced shortly into the set.
With that, the tween shriek factor exploded and we're pretty sure the aforementioned solitary lad in the front suffered hearing damage.
With an aptitude for creating memorable hooks and catchy pop, Marianas' greatest skill has always been its ability to connect with its audience.
And although four years ago the boys played to a couple hundred devoted fans at the Canadian Night Club, that connection remains even after translating the performance to an arena stage.
Same can be said for Down With Webster, who in March 2011, played to a small but appreciative crowd at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre.
If not for this recent crowd's complete and utter adoration for the sparkly-shoed, blue-eyed, blue-haired Ramsay, we'd say that Down With Webster stole the show.
The current tour with Marianas Trench and Down with Webster continues through Canada with stops in Moose Jaw, Vancouver, Prince George, Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Saskatoon.
