This might be a hot take, but the skating trail at Clergue park is one of the coolest things the city does.
I look forward to it more than Bon Soo itself (yeah I said it). I highly recommend checking it out at night because the lit trail is absolutely magical. I did my best to capture it in 2021, but it's something you have to experience yourself to truly understand.
That being said, this year I wanted to highlight that trail as well as the other public outdoor rinks operated by the city and there are more than I thought.
Naturally I had to experience them to really talk about it. The kind folks at the Soo PeeWee Arena sharpened up my badly hurting skates and I spent an afternoon checking them out.
