Over 1,000 people braved the weather to take part in Moonlight Magic and to watch the tree lighting ceremony on Thursday evening.
The event kicked off the city's official opening of the holiday season.
Many downtown businesses remained open later than usual on Thursday for the annual Moonlight Magic event.
There was even a special guest: Santa Claus.
