Chief Hugh Stevenson of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service met with reporters Wednesday afternoon to answer questions about Monday night’s tragic murder-suicide, which claimed the lives of three children, an adult woman and the gunman.
Another woman was shot but survived.
Sault Police have recovered two firearms — a long gun and a handgun — from one of the two houses where the victims were targeted.
Police also confirmed that the 44-year-old shooter was the subject of previous investigations related to intimate partner violence.
