Blaine started walking in February. He started talking not too long after. He started saying “what’s that” and pointing to everything. One of his first words was Dada. The way he says it, it’s like he is asking where you are. Some nights he wakes up in the middle of the night and that’s all he says. You marked that boys heart, and he will never forget you.
He looks so much like you, with his smile and all of his hair. You would have adored each-other so much. All the things you would have loved to do with him breaks my heart. Blaine is a very smart little boy. He loves trying to put things together and build things. And he really loves playing with his sister. He loves all of his pets. And he loves to be outside. His favourite toys are trains and his car. And boy, does he love to dance. He loves music. He loves to help. He is the best little boy. He has your heart. And I believe you will go on through him. Thank you for giving me such a beautiful little boy.
Layla draws pictures of all of us. She did that for a few month’s after you left us. Now, she talks about you everywhere she goes. Thank you for loving Layla like you did. You were so good to her. And she will remember that always.

Holidays will be hard, and your birthday always the hardest, but I know you will watch down on us. We will always be looking up at you. We will always be waiting for you to come home.
