Facts about the Windsor Hotel, courtesy the Sault Ste. Marie Museum.
The hotel was severely damaged by fire on the night of September 22nd, 1904.
The fire started behind fireplace either on the ground or second floor – damage was estimated at $25,000.
The new hotel was constructed in 1905.
In 1913 the northwest corner of the hotel was added.
In 1931 the hi-rise tower was added to the hotel.
