SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On June 6, 2017, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 58-year-old Armandine Morissette of John Street in relation to an assault.
It is alleged that on Apr. 25, 2017 around 8:30 p.m., the accused attended the residence of a person known to her in the downtown area.
The accused was not welcome and was directed to leave by the homeowner. (It is alleged that) the accused then assaulted the victim by punching and scratching at him.
Police were contacted and the accused was located and arrested a short time later. Ms. Morissette has been charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. She will appear in court on July 17, 2017.
